The Ukraine crisis just doesn’t seem to end as Russia continue to invade major cities of Ukraine. It’s a really tough phase that the world is going through and the sufferings of Ukrainian citizens can’t be described into words. Sharapova took to social media to express her feelings on the Ukraine crisis and has whole-heartedly called for peace.

In a recent post on Instagram, Sharapova wrote, “With each day that goes by, I am more and more heartbroken and deeply saddened by the images and stories of families and children affected by the escalating crisis in Ukraine. I am donating to Save the Children’s crisis relief fund, an organization working tirelessly to provide food, water and aid kits to support those in need. Please join me in making a donation. I pray for PEACE and send my love and support to all those affected.”

Although Sharapova hasn’t openly condemned the atrocities of Russian forces led by President Putin, a donation for the greater cause is definitely a wonderful gesture and received warm appreciation from fans and followers.
